I am currently the Group Online Distribution Manager for the Dalata Hotel Group. My passion for Hotel Industry started from a young age where I worked at a local hotel in Co. Tipperary over weekends & summers.
I studied at the Shannon College of Hotel Management where I completed my Diploma in International Hotel Management, over the 4 years I gained wide experience & training within all departments of the Hotel Industry. I spent 2 years on placement in Brussels & Galway. My final year of College, I completed my BComm from NUI Galway.
I started my career as part of the pre-opening team of the Marriott Hotel, Galway which laterwas rebranded to the Pillo Hotel. The Dalata Hotel Group took ownership of the hotel in December 2014 and rebranded it to the Maldron Hotel Sandyroad in November 2015.
Throughout my 10 years, I worked as a restaurant supervisor, moving onto Duty Manager, Sales & Marketing Administrator, Meeting & Events Manager and Revenue Manager. In January 2015, I had the fantastic opportunity to join Dalata’s Group Revenue Team, where I gained a wealth of experience & knowledge of group operations.
In August 2016, I was appointed the Group Online Distribution Manager; part of my role would be having meetings with the OTA account managers reviewing performance, opportunities plus any new developments within the markets.
Dalata Hotel Group is a fantastic company to work with. The opportunities within the group for an individual to grow is enormous. When you work with a large hotel group, there is a lot of emphasis on training & development; within the Group you will have opportunities to grow & develop your career and the opportunities for promotions is phenomenal.
No two days are the same in Dalata Hotel Group which is very exciting group to be part of. I am looking forward to the Dalata Group growing further & looking forward to seeing the further developments with Ireland, Northern Ireland & UK.
