I first joined the company in December 2011 as Front Office Manager in Clayton Hotel Leopardstown, then Bewley’s Hotel. I worked in Leopardstown for 4 years, the last two of which I was covering the Reservations Manager while she was on maternity leave. I gained invaluable experience in this role, and this formed the basis of my progression within Dalata Hotel Group. In December 2015, when the position of Revenue Manager for Maldron Hotel Tallaght became vacant, I felt confident in applying and I was delighted when I was offered the position.
I’m so glad that I accepted the position as the time I spent in Maldron Hotel Tallaght was filled with more highlights than I ever could have imagined. Most notably, I was chosen to participate in the Revenue Manager Development Programme. By applying what I was learning on the development programme into the day to day activities within my job I was able to excel within my role, and together with the rest of the management team, make significant improvements to our strategy, which resulted in a very successful year for us all.
After 15 months in Maldron Hotel Tallaght, the opportunity came up to join the team in Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge and I was successful in my application and joined the team in this stunning property in March 2017.
I consider myself to be an ambitious and driven individual, and I am grateful to work for a company that not only supports this, but also encourages it. I have found the senior managers in all hotels, and also in Central Office to be incredibly supportive and encouraging as my career has developed and progressed. I am excited about the future, working for such a progressive company that is growing constantly and I am even more excited about the opportunities this will present for us as employees. I look forward to growing as a manager within Dalata Hotel Group.
