The Investors in Diversity Silver award
Prestigious diversity award for Dalata Hotel Group. Maldron Hotels and Clayton Hotels only hotel group accredited with the mark in both Ireland & UK. Dalata Hotel Group Plc has joined a small group of businesses accredited with a coveted diversity and inclusion mark in both Ireland and the UK, after an external audit found employees feel valued and respected in their roles. The Investors in Diversity Silver award is given to qualifying companies in the EU by the Irish Centre for Diversity who partner with the National Centre for Diversity to accredit companies who have locations in the UK. As Ireland’s largest hotel operator and one of the UK’s fastest growing, Dalata Hotel Group, which operates Maldron Hotels and Clayton Hotels, is one of a select few businesses to receive the accreditation in both jurisdictions.

Leading publication Business & Finance names Dalata’s CEO Dermot Crowley as its Business Person of the Month February 2023, for successfully leading Dalata Hotel Group to high annual revenues.

Irish Times Business Person Of The Month
Dalata Hotel Group chief executive Dermot Crowley has been chosen as The Irish Times Business Person of the Month for December 2022. Mr. Crowley last year led the hotel group as it rebounded strongly from almost two years of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. In mid-December, the company said it was trading ahead of expectations amid a strong recovery and continued expansion of the business. Mr. Crowley said the Group’s revenue would exceed €500 million in the year ended December 31st, 2022, the first time it will have hit that milestone. Like-for-like group revenue per average room was up 21 per cent compared with 2019 levels in the period covering September to November 2022. Dalata said corporate bookings had increased after the summer period, with the strong US dollar leading to a noticeable increase in visitors from North America.

Green Tourism Accreditation Scores
November 10th 2022 | All 48 assessed Dalata hotels have achieved Gold accreditation for 2022. This is an improvement on the group's scores in 2021 with 35 golds & 8 silvers. Dalata Group General Manager for Regional Ireland & Partners; Conal O'Neill, praised hotels for their engagement with the accreditation process and their interactions and submission to the Green Tourism portal were very comprehensive. "As momentum continues to grow around the overall ESG journey for the company, this platform of engagement that we have at property level through the accreditation process with Green Tourism gives us a very sound foundation from which to build further into the future".

Investors in Diversity Bronze Accreditation
Dalata Hotel Group have been awarded the first-ever EU-wide Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation. This recognition covers the group’s operations across Ireland and the rest of the European Union. The business has also achieved Investors in Diversity accreditation from the National Centre for Diversity, our British-based sister organisation, for the progress of its business throughout the UK. Investors in Diversity Bronze affirms that the organisation has built a strong foundation to embed Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) across the operation and is equipped for the journey of becoming more equitable and inclusive.

Success at Gold Medal Awards
Clayton Hotel Belfast wins first prize at the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards. The Gibson Hotel in Dublin won the Silver Medal. “We are delighted to win both the gold and silver medals in such prestigious awards, particularly in the best Business & Conference Hotel category. Global Marketing Accolades
Dalata Hotel Group and Wolfgang Digital won two awards at the 2022 Global Search Awards – the first for the Best Use of Content Marketing, and the other for the Best Use of SEO for the Travel Industry.

Dalata received awards for best Small / Medium Quoted Company and best Digital report at the Chartered Accountants Ireland, Leinster Society 44th Annual Published Accounts Awards. This year’s success brings our tally of published accounts awards to eight, since 2015, including the overall prize in 2019.

Clayton Hotel Belfast has scooped first prize at the 2021 Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards. With stiff competitive from hotels across Ireland, the hotel was awarded the gold medal in Ireland’s Business & Conference Hotel category.
